  1. I’m working on a novel I started years ago, or as close as I can get this November. After letting it gather dust for too many years, I decided to dedicate NaNoWriMo to get it finished.

Just reached 33,498 words a few minutes ago. If I don’t finish it by November 30, I’ll finish it in December. It looks like I’m about half way to the finish line.

      1. I know exactly how easy it is to get sidetracked by blogging. I have the rough draft of an education Blog post sitting there waiting for me—calling to me, begging me to drop the book and return to finish the post, and then I have the December posts for my blog that focuses on China and the Chinese waving at me with both arms and shouting not to forget them.

If I could give up sleep and keep my focus and energy, I would.
